YOUTH DIVISION:

Youth White - 26, North Branford - 12 The Guilford squad got a total team effort to defeat North Branford in a hard fought battle. After trailing early, Guilford got 2 first half touchdown runs from Nick (Sunshine) Porretta. After the second TD, Shane Molloy took a reverse in for the extra point and a 13-12 halftime lead. From there the Guilford boys never looked back. With a shut out defensive performance in the second half led by Evan Hilgert and Ben Currier, Guilford Guilford victory.began to open up a bigger lead. Great ball handling by Jack Jankura and tough running by Currier, Porretta and Nick Moscato behind the blocking of a strong offensive line led to Guilford controlling the ball throughout the second half. Two TD's and another extra point from Molloy sealed the deal for a big Guilford victory.
